About your branch

What are our goals?

We aim to share psychological knowledge, provide networking opportunities, support your continuous professional development and provide you with a forum to voice any queries, suggestions or concerns.

What’s on this website?

We have designed this website to provide you with:

· Details of upcoming and past Psychology themed events across the SW area covering a wide range of divisions and interests

· Access to our newsletters which share recent research, reviews of events and books, careers advice, updates on upcoming CPD events and conferences

· Direct access to our committee members who come from a range of divisions and look forward to hearing from you with any queries / suggestions!

How can you contribute?

As Chair of the Branch, I would encourage you all to get as actively involved with your branch as you can. If you have any comments, queries, or would like to help out, please email us. In particular, we are looking for:

· Contributions for our newsletter - articles, photographs, event reviews, book reviews etc

· Event updates - what’s going on in your local area? Do you have any suggestions?

· Website updates - please let us know if you would like to share information with others

Member Communications

The Branch has a membership announcement email list to inform members of activities and initiatives that are relevant and specific to our members as well as requests for engagement on topical issues.

Joining Society membership announcement emails lists is an automatic process and linked via your membership record, by being a member of the Scottish Branch you are allocated to the announcement list. Your record must state your correct email and that you have opted in to receive email communications from the Society. It is therefore important to keep your society membership record up to date!

For further information and how to maintain your contact details please visit the online help centre.

We have also set up social networking groups for the SW branch including Facebook, Twitter and Linked in. These are intended to facilitate networking both with the committee and other local members so please join us!
