Current career role: Senior Research Fellow with North Bristol Hospital Trust
Year joined committee: 2011

An aspect of psychology and research I am particularly interested in is patient involvement, especially in ‘hard-to-reach’ communities. I feel very strongly that it is the researchers’ responsibility to disseminate the findings, of their research not only to professionals, but also to the target community. This is one of the few ways to thank people for giving their time and energy. It is also a critical aspect for new research applications under the new Research Excellence Framework (REF) & I am keen to contribute to the BPS’s development of impact measures beyond the clinical setting and to ensure their relevance to the general population.
Interesting fact about me: I have spent twelve years working in and researching the field of Hyperbaric Medicine.
